Phoenix, A Place So Awesome...

Well, this week was a pretty decent week. My comp, Elder Jenson, is a such a goof. He turned 18 in November and he's still in his second transfer of his mission, so I am already older than he will be when he goes home....but he's a lot of fun, definitely keeps us laughin'. Recently we have been working with a 9 year old girl, Keira and her little brother, Demitri. They are the youngest kids in their freakin' awesome family, and its been a lot of fun teaching them. It can get a little crazy though, for sure. There are a couple of families that we are working with that are slowly getting closer to baptism. ane there is a real priority in this ward on strengthening those members that are a little less active, or who never really come to church. It's been cool going out and finding those people who maybe have forgotten what joy the gospel brings into their lives, but are found at just the right time when they are ready to start coming back, and remembering all the good things it has brought into their lives. Seeing those people change and have a desire to feel the love of God that they had forgotten about is just as amazing as seeing people experiencing it for the first time. Definitely makes things exciting.

Anyways, things are good here in Phoenix. A place so awesome they named a city, a bird, and a mission after us. That's how we do it! Hope all is well for everyone back home. Take care and God bless,
Elder Hiatt
